OLD LYME INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING/SITE WALK
TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 2010
Robb Linde, Vice-Chairman, Dave McCulloch, Skip DiCamillo and Sabine O’Donnell, Linda Krulikowski met at 34 & 35 Shore Acres Road at 6:15 PM.
1. 6:15 - 10-10 – WILLIAM AND DEBRA LACY – 34 & 35 SHORE ACRES ROAD – PROPOSED HOUSE AND DRIVEWAY LOCATION
Commission members viewed the site. Tony Hendriks, the applicant’s representative, described the location of the house which was staked out. He also described the location of the area proposed to be cleared for the house site and for the driveway within the inland wetland regulated area. The limits of clearing have not been flagged or staked and commission members indicated a desire to have those limits further defined and marked. Linde also expressed concern that in his estimation 45% of the sensitive buffer protecting the wetland on this property would be eliminated.
2. 6:45 – 10-11 – BABASULI – 20 GRASSY HILL ROAD – CONSTRUCTION OF A VEHICLE PULL-OFF AND PARKING AREA.
Joe Wren, Professional Engineer, described the location of the proposed parking area and the location of trees that are proposed for removal and trees that he hopes to preserve.
3. 7:15- 10-13 – O’CONNOR – 108 SILL LANE – REPAIR STORM DAMAGE
Steve Parker, the applicants representative, described the location and condition of the damage to the streambed and the damage to the underlying foundation for the patio and in particular damage to the foundation on the south side of dam and the bridge. He also showed the location of the entry point to the streambed
4 7:45- – JAMES MOSER, OWNER, WILLIAM LEFFINGWELL, APPLICANT – 5 LEDGEWOOD DRIVE – INSTALLATION OF INGROUND SWIMMING POOL
Linde left the meeting prior to this site walk. The commission walked the site and observed the proposed location of the pool
